Humm. I'm not really an ENVI programmer, but it seems to
me the ENVI User Guide and Reference Manual, available
on-line in your ENVI distribution, covers all this
information in as complete a way as you are likely to
get from a software company. It is *especially*
thorough in documenting the ENVI functions you will
require for this programming project.
