My son is off to Nepal for five months later this week.
No phone,of course, but he does have camera equipment.
The solar charger was not expensive, but the camera
adaptor to connect the charger to the camera was
an arm and a leg.

Plus, you have to carry the darn thing. Not a big
concern for Jonathan as sherpas are reasonably
inexpensive, but I purposely bought the small
backpack so I wouldn't be tempted to think
I needed goodness knows what luxuries. "Fast, light,
simple" is the mantra I will be using as I walk
along. :-)
