This appears to be true, although the preference is
a bit misleading. It says "Graphics windows stay on
top". What it means is that "New graphics windows
stay on top, if they are not embedded in a widget
program or some other useful construction. Normal
graphics windows and embedded new graphics windows
disappear behind other applications and are lost
for all time."

I can understand wanting the direct graphics folks
to get down in steerage where they belong, but
isn't taking away their WShow command like kicking
them in the teeth, too. :-(

Cheers,

David

P.S. Despite the rough treatment, I don't see direct
graphics programs disappearing any time soon. As much
as I like the new graphics commands (and, of course, I
mean when they work), there seem to be a number of
limitations to actually using them in programs. I'll
say this about them, though. The fonts are beautiful!
Whether that's enough to get the old codgers to
adopt them I don't know. Somebody had better be working
on a bunch of whiz-bang examples to show the folks the
way.
