I think we will all be laughing about this by about
IDL 10.3. :-)

P.S. Let's just say "unrealized potential" and wait
for the next (God, I hope it's soon!) release.

P.S.S. Have I mentioned the lack of a working WShow
command is a *constant* irritation and is adding about
two hours to every working day. :-(

P.S.S.S. The good news, I suppose, is that people who
wouldn't even think about using iTools at least see
potential in the new graphics and are willing to try
them. Whether they can be fixed fast enough to keep
everyone engaged is an open question, but I hope so.
