Well, since you will publish an e-version (right?, right? :o), why not keep as much as possible?
Seriously - I have little interest in buying paper books about computer-ing these days (the irony alone is a killer :o).
Especially the reference ones (like yours would be). I have quite a few bordering-on-1000-page tomes that I
use/reference quite frequently at work and at home. The weight of said volumes: 0g. They're all PDF's
As soon as e-readers like iPads get light enough (those things weigh a ton!), or e-readers like kindle/nook/etc are more
versatile (not just teeny screens with b/w text), I'll even be able to read them on the train to/from work!
Having said all that, you could publish your next book on stone tablets and I'd still buy a copy (or two). :o)
