Oh, wait! Maybe this does work. Too much multi-tasking going
on this morning. I didn't see that keyword:

IDL> print, getprimaryscreensize(/exclude)
1280 994

Yes, this appears to work. I presume it works on LINUX
and Macs, too? Could be our solution! Thanks!
