Widget functions in IDL were incompatible with MIT XWindows before
version 2.3 or 2.3.2. You need a later version of IDL, or to avoid
widget applications, such as XLOADCT and MP_WIDGETS (you can avoid the
latter by re-writing MAN_PROC.PRO).
