find variables in a save/restore file [message #7518]

Dear All,

I was wondering if there was a way to examine a save/restore file to see what
variables are contained in it? For example, if I do

IDL> save,filename='test',a,b,c,d

I'm thinking of something like

IDL> restore,'test
IDL> a=find_var(test)

returning an array a, where a(0)=a, a(1)=b, a(2)=c etc..

Can anyone help?
