I'm quite fond of Google Reader. The new Groups interface is quite similar, so I'm pretty content with it. I guess it depends on what you're comparing it to though. A good usenet client?

Concerning Android devices, the Gmail/Calendar integration is great, and I really like the maps/navigation. My problems are primarily with the hardware, in that running an application can be a risky endeavor. It might not always work, and if it does, it may be some time before you can manage to get back to an operational launcher screen again. And if you want to use it as a PHONE in the interim, well, good luck. This may be related to the fact that my device is now three years old - positively geriatric by mobile device standards. I try not to push it too hard, but even at that it often stumbles.

If you're looking at something newer and faster make sure that you can live with whatever battery life that model is likely to provide. Some of them are real juice guzzlers.
