Neil,
I, too, feel your pain, but there is probably nothing ITTVIS can do
short of giving you a free license for a newer version that will work.
This, however, would not be fair to users who have been paying big
annual dues to keep their licenses current.
Nevertheless, you have still have options. The simple way to make this
work is to install some virtualization software on your machine (e.g.,
VirtualBox, free), then install Windows XP in a virtual machine
running IDL 6.
