Hi all,

This was actually a bug in IDLgrContour:

...
square = OBJ_NEW('IDLgrContour', $
dist(100), /FILL, $
C_FILL_PATTERN=pattern)
xobjview, square

It's fixed for IDL 8.2. You can now specify a scalar object.
