I had one of those brief out of body experiences when scanning for titles and I came across this one. Turns out I am only *mostly* missing. The idlwave.org domain did sunset. Thanks to the kind folks of RSI who sponsored it for 10 years. It apparently had generated enough traffic to convince some shady types to snap up the domain and park some bogus investment blog there. Please dig a hole in the ground to put your money in before following any of the advice there. In any case, github is the new home (now correctly linked on my web pages, please update yours as well).

Unfortunately, I don't have much time anymore to develop and maintain IDLWAVE, which means the crufty version that ships with Emacs is now somewhat... broken.

I am actively seeking a new maintainer for IDLWAVE. If anyone out there has interest, is an IDLWAVE user, and has some basic elisp experience (or willingness to learn), please get in touch. FYI, when I took over IDLWAVE from Carsten (over a dozen years ago!) I had next to no real elisp experience. As a bonus, learning a functional language tremendously improves the rest of your coding abilities by helping you think out of the box, enhances your problem solving acumen, and probably looks good on a resume.
