Hi,
I'm trying to install IDL 7.0 onto my Mac using a install_unix.sh script that was attached with the installation files. But when I run the script, I get the following error:
Crystals-MacBook-Pro:idl_unix pope$ sh install_unix.sh
dyld: Library not loaded: libXm.3.dylib
Referenced from: /Users/pope/idl_unix/unix/install/xinstall/darwin.i386/xinst all
Reason: no suitable image found. Did find:
libXm.3.dylib: file too short
install_unix.sh: line 16: 2782 Trace/BPT trap: 5 "$UDIR"/unix/xinstall.sh "$@"
The library listed is one of three libraries in the install "package". I've seen similar errors for installation of other programs and suggestions online, but those all involve MacPorts, which I'm not using. I didn't try to update the MacPorts program in case it was being used to install IDL, but that didn't change anything.
Does anyone know what this error is and what I can do to fix it?
Thanks!
Crystal
