Just a heads up to those considering upgrading to the latest versions of XQuartz.

After installing 2.7.11 on MacOSX 10.11.6 my IDL widget programs crashed on the creation of a very simple WIDGET_DROPLIST. It was easy to isolate the problem. The crashes quit IDL and return me to the xwindows terminal prompt.

I downgraded to XQuartz 2.7.10 and the problem persisted.

Now back in XQuartz 2.7.9, all is well again.

I will alert Harris.
