reverse.pro should be in the /lib directory your IDL distribution. It is in
/Applications/exelis/idl85/lib/ on my Mac
/usr/local/exelis/idl/lib on my Linux box

It sound like your !PATH is screwed up. If you are missing reverse.pro you are likely missing other important procedures --Wayne
