There are a few ways I can get OS usage statistics for IDL, but none of them are great, so I'd like to try a direct appeal. On what operating systems do you use IDL? Please let me know; vote in the poll on the IDL blog:

I've closed my (thoroughly unscientific) IDL OS poll. Check the results at:

Despite being a Linux fanboy, I expected more votes for Mac OS X. And although this is anecdata, it's interesting to note that over half of the respondents (60 percent, in fact) use a UNIX-based OS.
