Unfortunately, every time I close IDL, the paths I added using the preferences section of the IDL workbench revert to their original state. I can tell that permanent paths have already been added by different people. Does anyone have any advice on making the paths stick?

Have you tried that black Velcro tape?

I've never heard of paths not "sticking". But, perhaps your Workbench
location is in a directory that you can't write to. I'd try changing
your Workbench location to a directory of your own that you control. If
it doesn't work there, then we may have to go back to the Velcro
solution.

Cheers,

David
