Hi -

Is there an IDL routine or system variable that can give me the name of the currently running program?

Here's the specific situation: I'd like to put a caption on a graph that tells what program produced the graph.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You can use cgWhoAmI from the coyote graphics library.
