I am using Google Chrome as my default web browser, which gets invoked when I use the IDL help command. For a while now regular text becomes blue and underlined when I mouseover the webpage. This is high annoying because at that point it is impossible to distinguish the text from the hyper links. has anyone seen this or have a solution.

Another one of those reasons why one should never ever ever ever ... get rid of the IDL 6.4 help file.

Sounds like you're running into the same Chrome issue as others:

Tried to change the external browser from default to Firefox but this does not work. This rings the bell of another long-standing bug, which I swear I had reported before. Grrrrr.....
