I'm trying to read GOES8 AREAnnnn files in idl. I've looked at :
<p>; PURPOSE:
<br> ;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp ; FUNCTION READ_McHEAD will read
the PC McIDAS formated image files
<br> ;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp ; developed at CIRA.
<p>and
<p>READ_McDATA
<p>but think these will fail on 5 channel GOES8 files. Has anyone got anything
more upto date?
