Folks,
A number of people have asked recently about methods for
capturing a picture of an entire widget application as,
say a JPEG or TIFF file, rather than just an IDL graphics
window. Dnyanesh Kadam has brought a free program, named
PrintScreen, to my attention. He and I have used it to
capture or print entire widget applications. It is really
quite remarkable how easy this was to do. You can learn

This is a Windows only program, but there must be similar
programs for UNIX computers. If you know of one, please let
me know. This kind of functionality if very useful at times. :-)
