Hello again,

i've just got an error message which says,

'% X windows protocol error: (BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter)).'

it doesn't seem to make any difference and i was just wondering what it meant. I
remember somebody posting an article about this a week or so ago. Can anyone explain?
or re-post the original article?

thanks,

David

We got this error when using the widget builder WIDED. It would
happen up to 20 times w/o problem, then it caused WIDED to completely
hang.

One person said he had this problem w/ a print statement, and the
solution was: "There is no solution, just remove that statement"

We have talked to RSI and infact they ftp'ed our 'faulty' widget,
and their solution is: "There is no solution"
At least not w/ 3.6.1. However they didn't have this problem
w/ IDL 4.0 so the solution, I guess is "upgrade"

However not everyone has this problem. I'm sure that many people
use WIDED under 3.6.1 just fine. How?

By the way we were running solaris and open windows ?.?.?, incase
that helps. Good luck!
