hi,

I have written a widget program which places a function graphics plot object inside a resizable widget_window. I find that when I resize the widget, if the widget is made too small some parts of the plot extend past the edge of the window and are not visible. For example, it is easy to resize the plot such that the axis text labels are hidden.

Is there any way to query the actual size on the screen (in pixels) of the function graphics objects? That would allows me to test whether the axes are being clipped by the window and then rescale the plot to avoid this problem.

thanks
Mark
