SGI doesn't redraw [message #7651]

How do I make SGI redraw images after being
covered by another window?

ENVI manages to redraw, but IDL leaves the
image space black after being covered/uncovered
by any other window.

Jeff,

I'm not at my SGI now, so I can't check, but look at the documentation on the
WINDOW command with the RETAIN keyword. I believe you can specify how
"backing store" is performed. You may have to set it to tell IDL to perform
backing store rather than the defaultt when you create your window.
