I think it's generated somewhere deep inside the IDL code, and that
generally you don't need to worry it.

I see it every time NCDF_VARGET is called with the STRIDE keyword specified.
I *think* I might have seen it sometimes during a HEAP_GC operation when
there are a lot of objects to be cleaned up.
