Deleting structures in IDL?? [message #1826]

Forgive me if this is in the group FAQ - it's been a while since
I had one of those saved.

Anyway, I have a structure in IDL v3.1.0 that has such goodies
as variable sized arrays of sub-structures. The only problem now
is that I can't use RESTORE to load in the structures without
getting an error message. Yet I need an efficient method of
summarizing the data from these files which are so large that
SAVE/RESTORE is the only good way to save them.

Any suggestions?
