Ah, well, one day when I didn't feel like working
I got to thinking "what if" and the next thing you
know I had learned something new about IDL. I
filed it under "Reasons You Gotta Love IDL",
hoping someone would ask about it some day. :-)

But it makes sense, because one of the things IDL
saves when a file is compiled is whether it is a
procedure or function. They go in separate tables
internally, I guess.
