Humm. I can't tell whether the answer to this
question is extremely simple or extremely complex.
Perhaps you can clarify.
Are you running IDL on a 24-bit display or an 8-bit
display?
Do you want the two images to be displayed in the
*same* color table or in two different color tables?
Are you trying to compare the two images on the basis
of color?
