My group received an IDL package for a Sun Solaris to compliment my work on
an SGI.

I successfully recompiled an extensive DLM on the Sun using gcc (after a bit
of tweaking). A few minor tests demonstrated the .so loaded as needed.

I also have a test version of the DLM consisting of the DLM library plus a
dozen or so routines that perform various comparison and logging tests. When
I tried to run the test version, I hit the __eprintf error. I did create a
workable test DLM by recompiling everything with cc but this leaves me
without testable DLM compiled under gcc on Solaris.

Can anyone provide a clue as to what library routines requiring __eprintf
required by my test code? Is it as simple as printf/sprintf?

As always,
