I've been away from IDL for a couple of years and Fortran for more than
I want to admit but I need to plot some results generated by a Fortran
routine. I went to the call external examples that RSI provides and ...
<grumble grumble>, sorry RSI but it seems like I always have problems
re. calling external functions <grumble grumble> ... they didn't have
any compile or link flag examples for Fortran in linux because they said
"Compiler not available for testing" (gee, where did that pesky g77 run
off to now).
So if anyone had a simple little call_external Fortran example that they
built with g77 (including what compiler flags they used) I would be
eternally gratefully and would consider offering my first born (though
he's a lot bigger than me now so the transfer might be a bit
problematic)
