Why the IDL on SunOS 5.7 only read part of the dat? [message #31655]

I'v installed IDL V5.5 on SunOS 5.7;
But when runs the code that suns perfectly on PC(Win32),the READ_ASCII
function only read part of the whole data file?
Why?
