( but who knows, or as a Teacher of mine always says 99% of
all errors are caused by cable problems )

I tried
c:\full\path\to\netscape.exe
%comspec%
c:\command.com
both on MSDOS prompt --> ok
and on IDL prompt/Application --> *n*ok
