decoding the JPEG format [message #35055]

Hello Everyone,

I have IDL interfaced with a digital camera that returns a stream of
binary data in JPEG format. Right now I have to write the data to
disk and then read it back with read_jpeg. Does anyone know of a
place where I can find a routine that would decode this data in
memory?
