Hi all,

well I promised earlier to give an example of how you can make windows
run two programs at once (sequential event starting two different
functions/routines).

WELL I WAS WRONG. dang! 2 Xmanagers don't help either, the process
just waits until the first one is done, and then processes the next
event. Okay, however, if you are lucky you could start an external
program with the spawn command and use the nowait keyword.

But from within idl, it doesn't seem possible. Boy, award, me the 'open
foot insert mouth' award of the year.

If anyone, thinks I am wrong, I would LOVE to see your solution.

sorry folks. (kinda makes sense when you think of the low lever
implications of how this would have to work. still a bummer)
