Hello,

I have a problem with reading a binary file using idl. The file
is generated by Quick Basic ( version 4.5 ). It is divided into
several blocks and each individual block has a 20-line long
header. Each block has data comprising 4 columns and around
2000 rows. ( Number of rows change from block to block).

I have a program in quick basic that reads each individual block.
Is it possible to do the same using idl ?

Once I am able to read the data in each block, my life becomes
simpler.

I will appreciate any help, suggestions or ideas.
