Hi, I'm doing an undergrad research project to investigate the polar
climate using IDL. Does anyone have code for computing potential
vorticity from the appropriate meterological fields. I have the grib
meterological data and have now learned to read binary data into IDL
after using wgrib, but I'm pretty new to IDL and programming. I want
to visualize the antarctic vortex for 1998-2004.
