Thank you Rick,
I think your solution could be the most stable one. However, I am a Mac
novice and still not well trained in shell script writing. As I answered
Marshall, I am experimenting with an alias of localhost. There is also a
proposal of our German supporter to try LM_LICENSE_FILE defined with
1700@localhost. That I will do in near future with the next license
failure.

Do you speak Python at home instead of Idl?
