Using DC_TIFF_WRITE, I can output image file from PV-Wave which I can
then re-load at a later data. This is not a problem for any of the
four classes (Bi,gray, palette and RGB). When I try to read the colour
plots into another package it the image is a mess. So far I have tried
Imagetool (Solaris 2.3) and xv on UNIX, and I have even transferred
the file to a Mac and tried Photoshop, all to no avail.
This would seem to imply that the problem is with PV-Wave and they way
it outputs an 8 or 24-bit image. I know how to create the pallete array
as well as obtaining an MxNx3 image array for the 24-bit RGB output, but
none of this can be read by anything else I've tried (Bi and gray do work
however).
I'm about to pack it in and tear up the manuals page by page!
Am I just daft or is there something I'm missing?
- help!
