Spawning EML Scripts in IDL [message #51892]

Hi - I have a quick question that hopefully someone will be able to
help me with. I am writing an IDL script that spawns EML scripts for
each file in a list containing 300 files. I have noticed that
occasionally the EML script will freeze from what appears to be an
error in one of the files. At that point, by whole program chokes
because I then have IDL move the file that EML created (when EML
freezes it's still holding on to the file, making it imossible for IDL
to move it and rename it). So I then have to come in and restrat it. Is
there a way to have IDL check if the file in question is being used by
another application? I'd like to have IDL report a message stating if
this is the case, and for IDL to move on to the next file without
stoping the script. Does anyone have any suggestions?
