hi
i have a netcdf file which is lambert projection showing the air
concentration for the whole earth with central meridian going through
pacific region. i wanted to change the projection to lambert with
central merdian passing through china and then extraxt the china
domain. since ENVI dosent take netdcf data directly i converted it
into an ASCII file (1 band, 164 x 97 grids) and then opened it up in
ENVI. i think in order to do map conversion i would first have to
first edit the header and i think i am going wrong somewhere because
when i to view the coastline the (create world boundaries it exactly
doesnt match it , it seems shifted to the upper left
these are the map info in the net cdf file (in bracket is what i think
it means) lambert proj.
GDTYP=2
P_ALP=25 (first parallel lat)
P_BET=40 (second parallel lat)
P_GAM=110 (central meridian)
XCENT=110
YCENT=34
XORIG=-2934000 (first corner cordinates)
YORIG=-1728000
XCELL=36000 (grid size in meter)
YCELL=36000
i made a new map proj based on this.
some how i cannot make it to work (also how can i convert xorig to
degs)
any suggestion

any help would be really appreciated
suraj
