Hi

xloadct offers a very nice option : reverse color tables. It works very well on a
standard X-Window but there is something I dont understand when I use it with the PS device.

The Reversed color table has a white background and a black text, as it should. But why does
it not happen with the PS device ? If I do my contour (CELL_FILL mode) on the PS device
the background is white but the text too ???? What do I have to do in order to write the
text allways in anti-background ?

There is allways the possibility to recreate all the color tables in the reversed order but
keeping the text in black and the background in white. A very unpleasant solution and I
would not even know how to do it. The solution proposed in the reference guide only works
for images. I find this problem very annoying for the B-W color table whch should rather be
W-B. High values are usualy dark and not low values !!!

Programing in IDL is great fun but from time to time there are little things like this one
where you loose a lot of time and get angry at IDL.

Thanks for any help
