Is there any way to get IDLnetURL to download without blocking? For
years, we've used spawned wget's to do downloaded, and I'd very much
like to get rid of the wget dependence with IDLnetURL. I've played
with the callback function, but it appears to me that the only way to
get a non-blocking download would be to use the IDL-IDL bridge to make
a download thread. This would be fine, except that we'd like to
support IDL Runtime (unlicensed) users, and it looks like there is no
way to use the IDL-IDL bridge in this case.

Please help, and I hope I'm not missing something obvious!

Jeremy
