So what do you get from filepath()?

IDL> print, filepath('colors1.tbl', subdir=['resource', 'colors'])
% Compiled module: FILEPATH.
% Compiled module: PATH_SEP.
C:\Program Files\ITT\IDL70\resource\colors\colors1.tbl
