I am trying to use IDL structures, but am being hampered somewhat by their
simplicity! I would like to be able to have a structure with more
capability than just containing integers, doubles, etc. I would
like structures, sub-structures, unions, and so on. Does anybody
know if IDL will have something more substantial for structures at
some time in the future? VMS Fortran has much better structure support
than IDL. Why does a language for handling scientific data lack something
like this?
