I would ask you the question what does it mean to do regression on
arrays of different sizes? Regression seems to me to be done on X-Y
pairs (where y can be a vector for each X).

I think you just have to interpolate and then do the regression. I
would interpolate the one with more elements down to the other, of
course they have to have the same range etc so that you are not
extrapolating.
