I am trying to free up some namespace by deleting stale routines.
I found an old one ( http://idlastro.gsfc.nasa.gov/ftp/pro/structure/n_struct.pro ,
written 1989) that contains the comment:

; If structure, use size function to get # of elements
; (instead of N_elements) so that it works on I/O associated
structures.

Does this make sense to anyone? Is there any situation now where
one must use SIZE() to get the number of elements rather than
N_ELEMENTS(). Or does this refer to some long-forgotten file
structure that is no longer relevant?
