Hi Marshall,

Two comments:
- First of all, you are creating and destroying your bridges in each
FOR loop. Why? You can simply reuse your IDLbridge to do the next
batch of computations. Maybe you run into some kind of internal IDL
limit that limits the number of IDLbridges you can create and destroy
in a single session.
- Two, you might be interested in the process_manager I wrote which
was designed to handle exactly this kind of stuff. Let me know, the
thing is not very well tested so it could also benefit from someone
trying to use it.
