Just incase anyone is interested, thanks to Devin and the people at
ITT technical support, I have managed to figure this out. I used the
MODIS Conversion Toolkit, but needed to set the NaN values to zero
(fill_replace_value=0, background=0), otherwise the decorrelation
stretch which I was doing after georeferencing would not work.
