Hello,

Reading the release notes for 7.1.1 (from DF's "IDL 7.1.1 Patch") I noticed that AIX is no
longer a (documented) supported OS for IDL.

I guess I've been asleep a little bit, but when/why did this happen? Was 7.x ever able to
run on an AIX machine? Or is v6.x the latest we can hope for?

So much for me thinking about asking our local IBM sysadmins to upgrade IDL... bummer.
