Hi,

I have a problem with the SPAWN procedure in IDL 7.1 and windows xp.

When i try for example:

> SPAWN,'dir ',files

It reports, SPAWN:Unable to capture child process output

If i try:

>SPAWN,'dir '

it works

It seems that is not able to "collect" the result in the variable. Why?
Anybody else has this problem?



In IDL 7.0 works in both cases
